Note:
This song appeared in 2002 on a Lee Hazlewood tribute compilation and is credited to both SJ and Luke Scott. First to come to mind is just how wonderfully melodic this acoustic-sounding country/folk song really is and how it reminds one of the late Echo years (esp. Out of Sight) – meaning (almost) no falsetto vocals, strange sounds or enhanced drum loop etc. And even then this adoption will show you how much it sounds more like an interpretation than simply just a remake/copy – especially by taking the surprising liberty of sampling Lee’s intro narrative into song’s structure. Great stuff.
