Johnny Depp to direct the new Babybird vid?

If you believe in gossip without guild, it seems that Johnny Depp is shooting Babybirds new video!

johnny-depp-babybird-stephen-graham-music-video-6.jpg This is of course completely unconfirmed by Stephen, but hey, I’m desperate to update this site with anytning regarding the new album, so here goes:

In a new update today, Online gossip site imnotobsessed.com couples Depp and Stephen in a new Babybird video starring Stephen Graham (‘This is England’ and ‘Snatch!’) and Babybird Stephen Jones himself.

The site also reports that the video was shot over two days at Hatfield House, Herts, UK.

Johnny Depp is a longtime ‘celebrity fan’ of Stephen, so this rumour is actually not completely insane.

Stephen also told bad-pages.dk in an interview in 2008 that he was recording an album in L.A ‘with a friend of Johnny Depp.

Over at Depp fan forum Johnnydeppreads.com there’s speculations that this friend could be Bruce Witkin who were also in a band along with Depp before he got into acting

Babybird has been booked for four UK live shows in November to promote a coming album recorded in the US. Title and release date are still unconfirmed.

If true, and it sure looks like it. Then it is not Depp’s directional debut. Depp has made a few music videos in the past as well as a full length film. Bruce Witkin is the friend of Depp’s Jones has been working with. Depp and Witkin were in a band together before Depp got into acting.
