The Bad Pages

Amplified Silence is not about pork pies and cufflinks

Stephen Jones writes a book about himself from birth until now. The pages maybe silent but the memories are deafening, it says. Look inside here.

amplified_silence_book_02 Stephen has been busy teasing his Twitter followers in the last month about a new book project which (at least to me) seems to have come unnoticed out of nowhere.

So what’s this about you ask?

“Pork pies, cufflinks. We’ll have the lot except maybe those two. The book is the life of Stephen Jones from birth until now. All totally unseen plus a set of photo postcards.”

That’s how Stephen chooses to describe his ‘Babybird book‘ in a soon-to-be-published interview here on the bad pages.

Apparently, the book, entitled Amplified Silence, is now in the printers (or the pulpers…we’re not sure) and soon ready to go on sale for the 2012 tour.

So until Babybird hits the road from 26. January, perhaps these nice pictures here – e-mailed to the bad pages this morning – might make you consider queuing up in the merchandise sales before the shows as the release is limited to just 500 editions.

I’m not sure that there’s a formal relationship here, but ‘Amplified Silence’ is also the name of an unreleased solo project that Stephen has amused himself with. For the couple of weeks ago, the bad pages visitors could hear this pretty cool piano track named Charlie Sheen for the first time.

Look out for more news about the upcoming tour plus an exclusive interview later this week.
